An implant serves as an artificial replacement for the root of a tooth (a titanium screw), and it is inserted into the jawbone. A ceramic crown, replacing the tooth crown, is then affixed to the implant. This procedure is conducted under local anesthesia. In cases where the restoration of all teeth is required, methods such as All-on-Six or All-on-Four may be applied.
* The price refers only to the implant and abutment. The price of crowns depends on the type (metal-free or metal-ceramic) and the method of production: standard or CEREC CAM-CAD.
At the base of metal-ceramic crowns and bridges is an alloy of cobalt, chromium and molybdenum, over which a layer of ceramics is placed.
